A day trip to Yeeeeeepoh (Ipoh)

Been waiting for this day to come since last month. On the 20th and 22nd this month only our semester are going on a field trip to Ipoh. Our group is the biggest so we are divided into 2 groups. We went there today. We left from our uni at 6am.

It was cold this morning and I totally forgot to bring my sweater. No choice i stuff both my hands into my bag. Was a 3 hour plus trip.

I bet you guys are thinking that we might be sight seeing in Ipoh or visit historical places or even go the Lost World of Tambun in Sunway City, Tambun? Nah... not that lucky =x

Instead.. we went to..

also known as Tanjung Rambutan. And yes there is a lot of rambutan inside also. Lots of rambutan trees.

The place inside was huge. Really huge.

The reason to visit this place was for our subject called psychiatric. We learn it and now we experienced it. This trip have to thanked our psychiatric lecturer which is Mr.Arnel and he is from the Phillipines. Without him, I'm very sure we will not have this trip.

We were given a talk about the place from Sister May. She is the head nurse there. She is also a kind person.

After that we go visit inside. There are a lot of different sections inside. Too many till I forgot some. The ones i remember are psycho-geriatric, psycho forensic and more. Never knew it is divided like that. There are more numbers of male wards than female wards. I also don't know why. We use our school bus to travel around inside the facility.

The 1st stop was the workshop. It is for those who are capable to do crafts and things.

I admire them they really can do the crafts so nice.

My friend bought this for RM20. She loved it a lot and it was the last one also.

After that went to another place. Which is a place for observation before admitting them. They observe their behavior there. That was the female one.

The guard working there was also once a patient but now she is ok and friendly. She greeted us all. When we went inside.. It was shocking.. and i was ok.. i was scared.. the ladies inside all look at us then there was one she was just talking happily and another one just eat her biscuits. A lot lah.. just don't know how to say. All i know is that they are all happy. Then there was a room for those who are aggresive. There was an old woman. They restrain her which was sad.. I don't know what was her case.. No choice to restrain her cause she was a threat either to herself or others.

Then next we went to the female pshycho geriatric ward. Lots of old ladies.. and sad to say.. most of them are chinese.. :( Got one old lady just sit there crying and another talking to herself.. Really sad to see this..

After that we went to male physcho forensic ward. Ok this one kind of scary cause when we went inside they all look like they have not seen girls for a long time. -_- the way they laugh also scary. They teasing a lot lah. some really funny. One of them ask for my friend's number =X we all just laughed. One of the guy said I already took my medicine i'm sane already. o_o

Outside the pshycho forensic ward got people selling sugar cane. Well the sellers were also once patients. But now ok also. They did something useful. RM1 for a packet of sugarcane. Was refreshing.

Inside also got a huge dragon fruit plantation. And yes also plant by the patients also.

After that around 1pm we had our lunch at a nearby canteen.

After lunch we take pictures =x

Then at 2 like that we went to the museum to look at all the antiques that they used last time. Really ancient. We sign the visitors book. Lots of college also went there before.

That was our last stop. But we will be back next year around February. We will be posted there for 2 weeks @@

Reached home KL around 8. Was exhausted but still need to go ta pao food at pasar malam. Went with Andrea. Was drizzling.

Well.. can say it is a wonderful experience.

Fun Fun

Suppose today have Malaysian Study mid-term exam only for the 4 of us which is me, Andrea, Chai Wen and Siti Aishah. This is because that saturday we have the CPR course and the exam was also on the same day. So.. it clashes lah obviously.. so no choice have to post pone the exam. Which is today.. but.... our lecturer sort of like forgot that she had made an appointment with us. -_- we saw her wrote it down few weeks ago leh.. how can she do that. So test will be on tomorrow. I feel like wanting to say to my lecturer to just give us the marks for free so that we both sides can benefit. You will be free and so will we. Haha.. as if that will happen. We ate in school. Then.. after that Andrea and I go home lor.. but.. in the end... I feel like going for a walk. Anywhere.. lol.. cause sien want to study.. and some more that time chun chun our college van was right in front of us. So we decided to go to MidValley. It is very near our place. Free transportation to the station from uni. Can say our uni very convenient =D

Then when reached there around 11 like that.. today don't know why I so much energy go try on many clothes. LoL. Well most probably today is a weekday and not so much people. Which was better. Mid Valley looks a little bit deserted on weekdays. So can just try as long as you want =x
Saw so many nice nice clothes *_*

After that go watch movie and yes.. watching movie on a weekday also good.. more seats... and... and... AND... student id makes it more cheaper =X

Did not watch Mamma Mia and Eagle eye but don't worry will get the DVD. Andrea choose and this time we watched House Bunny. OmG i love it a lot.... I will sure buy the dvd to watch again. VEry Very nice!!! Eric if you are reading this we also smuggled Carl Jr's fries... but... they ran out of fries.. so they gave us criss cross fries? x_X Eric you ate it all finish? =X haha.. jk jk...

Anna Faris can really act. I watched all the Scary MOvies from 1-4. Nice~!! Finally get to watch her act this one. She really looks different from this movie and scary movie. This movie guarantee lots of laughter.

Then go to borders to order my story book and buy Archie. After that already 5 like that Andrea invite me go dinner with her and her bf. Her bf''s dad is in KL. We took train back to Bandar Tasik Selatan then change to LRT go Hang Tuah. Today raining again. Been raining everyday.. every evening..

We ate at Federal Hotel. It is called Mandarin Restaurant. Food was good. Ate all you can eat. LoL. You can order any food you want on the list but the price will remain the same. 1 person RM45. Can say worth it? If you eat a lot. But hor.. Andrea's bf's dad is senior citizen so he only have it half price. SO nice =X His dad is cool. The last time also eat at Federal but ate at the Revolving Restaurant. Nice Lasagnia. =D Thanks again uncle =)

Then after that we took taxi home... sure nice to sleep tonight XD nice weather and full tummy =x

Amazing day.. yet so not amazing

Few days did not online already because my net don't know why can't use. My housemate request to change password cause her friend is using our internet. -_- can't believe she go and tell the password to other people. Now making all this complications. Don't know when will it be ok. Anyways.. I'm now blogging from CC.

On Wednesday after 4.30pm we are all free~~ means exams finish liao. Finally.. then on Thursday suppose planned to go Mid Valley but..... plan change.. -__- cause someone told a "lie". A very bad "lie".. making me, Andrea and Chai Wen so troublesome. When i mean troublesome i mean very TROUBLESOME.. I have really no comment about her. In the end we all go to Sunway Pyramid. Ok lah... its good.. I've been wanting to go there because have phase 2. Which was really big. I sure will go there again. Haha.. no time see finish..

Took a train to Bukit Jalil then use taxi straight to Sunway. The girl who "lied" and her friends went to the water theme park while Andrea, Chai Wen and I decided to stay dry. We walked around lor. Haha.. so many nice shops *___*

We went to Italiannies for lunch =D cause I've heard about it from so many people. It is nice!! Must try!!

It was nice but Chai Wen said cannot eat too much later feel very geli. Hahaha.. cause very creamy. But hor.. before we had our meals they gave us bread then give us olive oil? and sauce? that time we kind of sakai.. don't know what to do with it. Is it dip it and eat together? x_x that's what we did hope it is right =x

Salmon Fettuccine. Was really good =)

Had one of their specialty and also my favorite. Beef lagsania. ~_~ yes I'm just like garfield XD

For drinks Strawberry Colada, Grape shake and apple shake. I enjoy my grape shake =)

The waiters were friendly. We talked to 1 of them. He is from the Philippines.

CPR

I'm sure everyone know what is CPR but do they actually know how to perform it? Firstly it stands for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Not cium, peluk & raba. In English it means kiss,hug & molest. Haha.. the tutor told us that. Anyways...

I attended a 1-day CPR course today which is from 8.30am-5.00pm. The course is not compulsory but advisable to take. Because it is very important that you have the skills so that you can save one's lives or maybe even your loved ones. The course cost RM200. Yeah it is pricey but one person's live cannot be count using money. Besides I also need to update myself. I learn before when I was in Red Cresent but i forgot a lot of things already. What I learn last time was different then now because got changes. But at least I got the experience before. Before our lesson begin the tutor show us 2 Rescue 911 videos which is about CPR and also Mr Bean. Here it is you can see but DON'T FOLLOW what he did was obviously not right. LoL he got the idea but he use it wrongly. I think everyone in the world that learn CPR sure got this video. Really a good example.

We were taught by 5 experts about CPR. They are really good and experienced.

Had lots of fun while learning also. There were 20 of us but only 4 students the rest are lecturers. Our tutors =X hehehe.. They are all so sporting. =) Yeah I "kissed" 3 kinds of dummies which are adult, children and infant. Did a lot of compressions also.

I did not take any pictures in the scene. Was too busy and I don't think I have any opportunity also. I just grab some images from the net. Haha. We learn everything in this course. Such as

How to do CPR on an adult, children and infant. We also learn Heimlich maneuver, how to use the bag mask valve and automated external defibrillator. After finishing everything then have a short exam to see if you are qualified to have the license. They said every 2 years must re-new the license.

Children CPR age from 1-8 years old or puberty

Infant CPR age 1 year and below

That red box is an automated external defibrillator (AED). It is easy to use and portable.

This is a bag mask valve.

They also taught us how to protect ourselves when giving CPR.

Because we will never know if the person that we are saving have any diseases or some sort. It is a universal precaution. There also other ways to do so can just use handkerchief or cloth if there is any. Many ways le.

I have to say this course is very useful loh. Not that I am promoting or anything haha.. but I think this knowledge is very useful to anyone. So that we know what to do if we are in that situation.

Young talents

Nowadays there are so many shows. Lots and lots of interesting shows such as Amazing Race, The Moment of Truth ( which I really enjoy =X ) and so on. But shows like American Idol, Britain's or American's got talent is really something. They will perform and do things unexpectedly sometimes. Nowadays there are many upcoming young singers whose talents are hidden but after they join any of those shows. Their talents were revealed and in the end became famous. Really impressive and amazing I have to say. Not any one can do that. These are the people who are really good.

She is Bianca Ryan. 11 years old.
